Octopus ESU

Octopus is a specialist ESU dedicated to Scuba Diving, it exists solely for this purpose and will meet when necessary rather than on a weekly basis.
It is open to any already-invested Explorer Scout in Gloucestershire who is qualified, or undertaking training via Octopus Explorer Unit to qualify, as at least a PADI Open Water (including Jr. Open Water) or equivalent.

The unit plans to run a trip to Egypt in 2010, the main activity will be scuba diving in the Red Sea.

- 12th Feb at 7.45 - initial meeting for Egypt 2010 at Shurdington Social Centre* This meeting is open to all those interested in this trip and their parents.

- Scuba Try-Dive ~ 2nd May ~ County Lydney**
* To reach Shurdington Social Centre: Turn off the A46 between Cheltenham and Brockworth in Shurdington into Church Lane (next to pedestrian lights - on right coming out of Cheltenham). 2nd left into Bishop Road. Left into car park.
